Volcano Fountain, Abu Dhabi
The Volcano Fountain, Abu Dhabi stands on the Corniche, Abu Dhabi. The fountain is surrounded by Apartment and buildings on one side and by the Gulf on the other side.
The Volcano fountain, Abu Dhabi is one of the most famous Abu Dhabi tourists attractions. Lying right on the seafront, the fountain looks most impressive during the night. Tourists on tours to Dubai should definitely visit this tourist site.
Bellagio Fountain, Las Vegas
A refreshing addition to your entertainment options, the Fountains of Bellagio were destined to romance your senses. Take in a complimentary Las Vegas show of water, music and light thoughtfully interwoven to mesmerize its admirers. All for your amusement, the most ambitious, choreographically complex water feature ever conceived amazes against the beautiful backdrop of Las Vegas’ lavender sky. Mirage Fountain, Las Vegas
The new $25 Million Dollar Mirage volcano, designed by the same company which developed the Fountains of the Bellagio newly opened on December 8, 2008! The new Mirage volcano erupts every hour with a 4 1/2 minute free show, featuring water shooting 120 feet above the Volcano with 120 fireballs thrown into the air, choreographed to a new musical score. The technology being used allows the Mirage volcano to be more realistic in both more appearance and island setting. Steam pours from the sides of the volcano, water flows down crevices on the sides of the mountain, and fire and flames sprout from numerous openings.
Dubai Fountain
Emaar has unveiled a world-class water, light and music spectacle in the 30-acre Burj Dubai Lake within Downtown Burj Dubai. Located near Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building, and The Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destinations, the fountain assures a vibrant musical and visual experience.
At over 900 ft (275 metres) in length – equivalent to that of over two football fields – Dubai Fountain is about 25 per cent larger than The Bellagio Fountain in Las Vegas in area. Powerful water nozzles shoot water sprays to heights of over 500 ft (150 metres) – equivalent to that of a 50-storey building.
Over 6,600 lights and 50 colour projectors create a visual spectrum of over 1,000 different water expressions that will appeal to visitors. Geneva Fountain
Originally a simple security valve at the Coulouvrenière hydraulic factory, this water fountain has, over the years, grown to be the symbol of Geneva.
In 1891, it was transferred to the “Rade”, to become a major tourist attraction. However, it was not until 1951 that it was provided with an autonomous pumping station, propelling 500 litres of water per second to a height of 140 metres at a speed of 200 km per hour (124 miles/h). Eight 9,000-watt projectors light the fountain’s majestic column in the evening as it soars skywards.
Barcelona Fountain
The original Barcelona fountain of magic was built for the 1888 Expo World Fair in Ciutadella Park. Determined to improve on their previous effort, a subsequent fountain was designed and constructed for Barcelona’s 1929 World Expo. This fountain has become a real landmark in Barcelona and is situated near Montjuïc. With coloured light shining through the water, the Barcelona Magic Fountain almost appears to dance and is quite mesmerising.

volcano fountain does not exist anymore..
Sadly, on 2004 the Volcano Fountain –once an scenic landmark of Abu Dhabi and one of the world’s most beautiful fountains– was demolished to make space for a more picturesque development of the neighborhood. The 80-foot-high fountain was built like a circular pyramid, with a flight of steps from the four sides going up the six platforms to the fountain on the top. On the evenings, the fountain would turn into a pleasant spectacle with coloured lights on as the water cascades down.
